Our Mission:

Land Defense & Restoration.

Dyspatch is an international environmental movement support organization based in Washington, DC that serves as a catalyst for land defense and environmental restoration by carrying out direct and mutual aid, direct democracy, and regenerative land practices.

Since 2015, Dyspatch has operated as a grassroots collective to provide resources to community-led campaigns to stop environmentally destructive practices and to build new ecological possibilities. Dyspatch is a nonprofit organization in the United States, it conducts its fundraising, program operations, governance, and decision making as a worker-owned cooperative.

International

Between 2015 and 2020, Dyspatch supported land defenders in the US and Canada, but in the last few years the organization is taking its unique and direct approach to supporting grassroots environmental defenders and restoration in the Global South. Beginning with Mexico, Columbia, and the Philippines, we are working to bring mutual aid to environmental groups to protect and regenerate the land.

Campaigns

Over the past nine years we have supported land defense campaigns across North America and internationally - working to stop environmentally and culturally destructive industries like mining, oil and gas, and clear cut logging. This means working to protect forest, prairie, mountain, river, and coastal land bases and the human-nonhuman relations that rely on them.

"Dyspatch is part of a new generation of social movement-based autonomous organizations that are working to build a new world in the shell of the old"
